Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Lunor Crest LLC ("Lunor Crest," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of our authenticator application (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
What the App does
The App generates time-based one-time passwords and helps you manage compatible two-factor authentication accounts. It is an independent utility and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for the third-party services whose accounts you add.
License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, consistent with the rules of the platform from which you obtained it. We and our licensors retain all rights not expressly granted to you.
Your responsibilities
- Use the App only for accounts you own or are authorized to access.
- Protect your device, authentication secrets, recovery codes, and account credentials.
- Keep separate recovery methods and backups where supported by the relevant service.
- Verify account details when importing a QR code or secret key.
- Comply with applicable laws and the terms of each third-party service you use.
Losing your device, deleting App data, or removing an account may permanently prevent access to an account if you do not have another authentication or recovery method. We cannot recover secrets or codes that we do not possess.
Prohibited use
You may not misuse the App, interfere with its operation, use it to gain unauthorized access, distribute malware, violate another person's rights, or reverse engineer or redistribute the App except where such a restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
Third-party services
The App may work with authentication standards used by third-party services. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. We do not control their availability, security, account recovery, or decision to accept a generated code, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
Updates and availability
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the App. Updates may be required for continued operation or compatibility. We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device or third-party service.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, reliability, or uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lunor Crest and its members, employees, contractors, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of access, data, profits, goodwill, or business, arising from or related to the App. Our total liability for all claims relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. Your license ends automatically if you materially violate these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability—will survive.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the App, our practices, or legal requirements. We will post revised Terms on this page and update the effective date. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
General
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement regarding the App.
